How do you use frames?To help you out in terms of what Facebook frames are and how you can use them during conference, here is a quick "how to" video to give you an idea. Some frames are only available during conference weekend, but others can be used after conference for as long as you like. We hope you enjoy them all and let us know what you think!

Whats happening at conference?Heres the low down of what to expect at conference this year. Once again, conference is being held at Alton Towers hotel, which has been a very popular choice of venue with our members for the past few years. For more information on the venue itself, and what you can do when you have some spare time, check out our FAQ section above. Below are the events and activities that are planned for this year. It is going to be action packed as always, so make sure that you know whats going at at what time to ensure you don't miss out on anything.

Friday 15th June 2018
11am onwards - Registration
Registration starts from 11am in the Splash Landings hotel reception. When you arrive, you will leave your baggage and it will be taken to your room ready for when you receive your room keys. Time to make your way down to the conference centre from here to network and view the live demonstrations.

12pm - 3:45pm - Conference Centre
Live demonstrations are taking place in the conference hall. Don't miss out on your chance to ask the expert on any tips whether your interested in bread, cake decoration or just want to network. This is great opportunity to talk to employers about work placements or industry visits that you may want to do during the summer.

1pm - 4pm - Table seminars
On of our most popular events where you get the chance to speak to the people that have been there and done that! Get some great advice on careers and what type of bakery role you may want to pursue after your studies.

1pm - 3:30pm - Design your own GingerBread Zombie
So this year we will be holding a mini competition to test your decorating skills. You will decorate a Gingerbread Zombie in a set time limit, and the best three will be chosen before the AGM for some prizes.

4pm - 4:40pm - Official welcome & AGM
Official welcome to #ABSTConference2017 from the general secretary Matthew May followed by the Annual General Meeting (AGM) & official change of office for the exec committee. For more information, including reports click below

4:50pm - ABSTConference2019 Themes
As suggested and voted for by you our members, it is your chance to vote on the theme for conference 2019. We are in the progress of confirming the themes for next year, so keep an eye on social media to ensure you get your vote.

5pm - Room Keys Activated
Room keys will be available in Sir Algenons Lounge as you exit the conference centre. Room keys will be given to your lecturers or student reps, and your luggage that you checked in at reception will be in your room.

6:30pm onwards - Fancy Dress evening
A fun filled evening, including "Zombie Apocalypse" fancy dress, photo booth and other activities. There will be a buffet style meal which is included in your conference ticket price. Disco and raffle during the evening.

Saturday 16th June 2018
6am - 8:45am - Competition Entries staged
Competition entries to be staged between 6am and 8:45am. Conference centre doors will be closed from 8:45am for all delegates apart from judges

7am - 10am - Breakfast available
Breakfast is available in the hotel restaurants. The restaurants do get busy, so ensure that you arrive early, or you may be delayed finding a table

10am onwards - Alton Towers Activities
Feel free to take advantage of the many activities in the Alton Towers Hotel while the competitions are being judged. We have Crazy Golf and swimming in the splash landing hotel, which is included in your ticket cost.

12:30pm - #LobTheCob Final
Lob the cob final will take place outside the conference centre on the patio area. Ensure that you are present to take part. You need to let us know your finalists from each college prior to the event.
