Great news everyone! The Alliance for Bakery Students and Trainees is holding a Sustainability Conference on Saturday 25th November 2023. The event will take place at the UK Flour Millers Head Office in London, and the focus will be on Sustainability in the Baking Industry.
The event promises to be one not to be missed, with a number of sponsors taking part in the event including UK Flour Millers, Bakels, Kudos Blends, CSM, Nelstrops and Rondo. There will be presentations from the sponsors during the day, and it wouldn't be an ABST Conference without a competition! More information on this is available below!

November Conference Sponsors
ABST events wouldn't be possible without the support of our brilliant sponsors. For our November Conference we are really looking forward to working with these great baking industry supporters, who will also be forming the Dragons Den style judging for our November Sustainability Competition, so it might be worth checking out their websites to see if there is anything you can add into your video presentations about what they are doing to be more sustainable!
ABST November Conference 2023 CompetitionWhy Sustainability? It's a really important topic and something that everyone needs some awareness of. It doesn't matter what job role you do in the baking industry, sustainable practise is everyone's responsibility.
So with this in mind, we thought this would be a great opportunity to let us and our sponsors know what you think are the biggest sustainability challenges facing the UK Baking Industry over the next 10 years, and we are really looking forward to hearing what you have to say.
